Visit Museum Ullen Sentalu

A couple weeks ago, Me & My Family visited Museum Ullen Sentalu which is located at Kaliurang, Jogjakarta, Indonesia. We were having great times, but unfortunately there’s forbidden to take pictures inside the Museum, so we just being action at the entrance door :) .  Going to The Museum was also first experience for my son. Advance, I was worried he’d be bored on the Museum Tour, but unpredictably He’s  enjoying the tour very much. It seems he’s his parent’s blood, adventure lover. Yes!!!

Ullen Sentalu Museum was inaugurated on March 1, 1997 by KGPAA Paku Alam VIII who was then serving as Governor of Yogyakarta. Ullen Sentalu stands for Java language: “ULating bLENcong SEjatiNe TAtaraning LUmaku” which means “glow lamp is an indication of human effort in every step and life”.  This philosophy is taken from an oil lamp used in the leather puppet show which is the light that is always moving to direct and illuminate the journey of our lives.

At Ullen Sentalu, We can find genealogy & history Kraton Jogjakarta & Solo, and how their ancestors made Batik Java that has meaning and deep meaning in every pattern. There are also a variety of history about the state of ancient Javanese culture with all the rules. State museum that was built well, able to make visitors as absorbed into the amazing ancient Java.

If you have the opportunity to visit  Museum Ullen Sentalu, then you will be spoiled by the other exotica from the design before starting an old building that looks kind & has a total of 7 rooms including entrance (Entrance), Guwo Selo Giri and there are 5 rooms in the village of Kambang. At the end of the journey, you will receive a reliable beverage servings that believe can make ageless.

So, Dont’ forget, if you visit Jogja, you should make Museum Ullen Sentalu as one of your agenda.
